Nima Azbijari

AI researcher — deep learning & computational biology
About

My research revolves around building machine learning models for biological sequences. Specifically, my focus has been on language models for protein function prediction and long-context sequence models for metagenomic sequence modeling. Some side quests have involved work on heterogeneous graph neural networks for learning over biological databases and working on uncertainty measurements in antibody language models at a startup.

Outside of research I enjoy climbing and being outdoors.
